Want the Christmas presents to arrive on time? Here’s when to ship them

It’s Christmas season and it’s time not only to get Christmas shopping started in earnest, but if you’re like me, you are also thinking about gift wrapping and shipping. All of my siblings are spread across this great county, so every year my big question every year is, what’s the last day to ship Christmas presents from Arkansas to arrive before Christmas?

Will shipping take longer than last year?

Until what time can I mail Christmas packages and they will all arrive before Christmas? Last year with Covid, we were having trouble getting things shipped on time, even if you were ordering from places like Amazon. Some of the gifts I bought haven’t arrived before after Xmas, well after. This year I heard it would be worse considering the supply chain, lack of employees, empty warehouses yadda, yadda, yadda.

What’s the last day to ship Christmas presents to Arkansas and Texas to arrive in time for Christmas?

The simplest answer is, the sooner the better. Well, that means now. But if you’re still shopping, time is running out, so get your groceries fast. According to WMTW News

FedEx, UPS, and the U.S. Postal Service all say you should be able to ship Christmas presents the week of December 13. The deadline is December 15 for FedEx and the postal service. UPS doesn’t give a deadline, but says coast-to-coast takes about a week, which means it should ship by Dec. 17.

To be even safer, remember to send your packages on this date

But here’s the catch, after last year some are now saying you have to be careful sending those Christmas packages a week earlier than last year. So ship no later than December 10th. It’s sooner than carriers recommend, but if you’re trying to send something overland you might want to give it more time. Still feeling the stress of Christmas? Yeah me too.
