Join the fun at the 55th Annual Chatfield West Days, August 11-14. The event celebrates the town’s history while supporting nonprofits in the community.

On Sunday, Boice will perform “A Toast to the Classics & Elvis” followed by Brad & RPG Band. Be sure to bring lawn chairs as this is an outdoor show.

Steve Rowland and last year’s winner Barb Ames are back this year for the second annual Grand Peanut Butter Tasting Challenge. Four contestants will attempt to identify three different brands of chunky peanut butter, Jif, Skippy and Best Choice.

Wits’ End Theater presents “Once Upon a Mattress” on August 12 at 7 p.m. and August 13 at 5 p.m. It’s a play for all ages.

Experience free live entertainment in the city park throughout the weekend and enjoy the classic car show which attracted 125 cars last year.

Attendees are encouraged to support local non-profit organizations by purchasing cold drinks and a variety of mouthwatering foods at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Squeeze Shack Lemonade Stand, JW’s Silver Grill, Gleason Concession, Stumpy’s Concessions, Hanson Girls Concessions and VFW Chicken BBQ.

In addition to the usual entertainment for children, Harmony’s JEM Cinema is sponsoring face-paced toad races and a free children’s movie in the park for the first time.

Include a visit to the Chatfield Historical Museum/Pease Museum and the Veteran’s Memorial Museum while you’re in town.

The activities combine with a final fireworks display in honor of veterans.
