As South Mill Arts counts down to panto season with Jack and the Beanstalkwhich dominates the scene from December 3, November at Bishop’s Stortford’s Arts Hall focuses on the local community.
The amateur companies Bishop’s Stortford Academy of Performing Arts and the award-winning Bishop’s Stortford Musical Theater Company present their major productions of musicals Nativity and Kipps – The New Half Sixpenceboth of which last five nights plus a Saturday morning.
There’s also a performance by Xpression Dance, based in Hertford, as well as story time, a museum tour, Midweek Music and a talk about places in Bishop’s Stortford linked to the First World War…
Story time: Does Tomek tell nonsense?

Join us for story time in the museum. Enjoy a story, songs, and coloring or crafting. We can accommodate up to 12 children at a time and will read the story multiple times if needed and provide activities while you wait.
Does Tomek tell lies about the animals that get in his way? Is there really a goat in his coat?

Alex is a musician, composer, arranger and teacher from Bristol. He performs regularly at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex and Café Oto, including a current fortnightly residency upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s. He received a scholarship to take the Jazz Piano Masters course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, which he completed in 2013.
