“You enter the game for free. You come here, meet people. When you’re in the stands and you’re getting the tips, you’re doing well,” said a former worker.
ST. LOUIS — Busch Stadium teams are filling up their roster and they need more people to apply for jobs.
Delaware North, the company that oversees the Cardinals’ franchises, hosts hiring events throughout the offseason as they prepare for Opening Day.
“Cardinals Nation is a big part of St. Louis. I think working here is so exciting,” said a former employee.
“We have part-time seasonal positions,” said Mackenzie Rosener, food and beverage manager. “Come down for the baseball game. You can keep your 9 to 5.
They hire for all positions: field crews, game day attendants, museum tour guides and community outreach positions, to name a few.
John Dean once worked at the stadium.
“You enter the game for free,” Dean said. “You come here, meet people. When you’re in the stands and you’re getting the tips… you’re doing well.
With the league stalled until negotiations between players and owners agree on a new deal, Delaware North is making sure their team is ready to go for Opening Day.
“Keep the optimism,” Rosener said.
Six additional hiring events are scheduled through the end of March: February 17 and 22 and March 8, 14, 26 and 29.
